Introduction to Studio Portrait Lighting

This three hour class is for photographers with basic experience who want to learn the fundamentals of studio portrait lighting. This workshop will demonstrate how to set up three different lighting situations in our studio, and each participant will practice what they learn with others in the class. Covered topics will be:

  • One light setup (for dramatic effect).
  • Two light setup using a main & fill (for standard use).
  • Three light setup using background & color fill (glamour).
  • The use of reflectors for fill.
  • Introduction to posing techniques.
