The question seems to come up all the time. "Do you still process film?". The answer is still a qualified "yes!". But this leads to the next question which is "How much longer will you be processing film?". Just a very few years ago we were processing hundreds of rolls of film each week, often making several runs each and every day for each different type of film. However, in an industry that is today dominated by digital photography, it's starting to look like our days of film processing are numbered. Roll volumes have declined steadily over the last few years and we have recently begun to reach point when our ability to offer processing services is being challenged by the negative economics of these incredibly reduced volumes.

As of April 1st, 2012, Uphoto decided to discontinue offering E-6 processing when roll volumes fell below sustainable levels. Also a factor was Eastman Kodak's recent announcement to discontinue their very last slide film, Ektachrome.

We are pleased to still offer C-41 and B&W film processing, but the availability of these services and the processing schedule is subject to change. Because of the declining use of film and the reduction of processing demand, we now usually process only once a week. Please call for the latest information and our current process schedule.
